The best phones in 2023 Tested and Rated

Smartphones have become an important part of everyday life. The huge demand for mobile phone accessories wholesale suppliers is a clear indicator of the high usage of mobile phones. But the market is full of different options, which can make it difficult to choose. That's why we compare the technical specifications of the latest smartphones, taking into account storage capacity, battery life, camera quality, and more. Here are our top picks for 2023.

iPhone 14 Pro Max

The iPhone 14 Pro Max outperforms all other devices. Like the first version of the new iPhone, it features a new Dynamic Island display with intelligence that stretches to show notifications on the 6.7-inch screen. The new Apple Bionic 16 chipset makes this device and its Pro version the most powerful iPhones. Both devices have a 12 MP telephoto camera with a wide-angle lens, and a 48 MP wide-angle lens, the highest-megapixel camera ever seen on an iPhone. This phone is the most expensive in the iPhone 14 range, at £1,199, but is still £350 cheaper than the starting price of the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G

As the most powerful version of Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G is the best smartphone of its kind. Costing the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, when it launched, was not the cheapest phone on the market, but its specifications put it far beyond anything the manufacturer has provided and improve the S21 Ultra 5G in many ways.

While the Galaxy S21 supports the Samsung S Pen, the Galaxy S22 integrates the device with a slot to store and charge it - just like Samsung's Note range of smartphones. The camera is similar to the S21 Ultra, but the lenses no longer protrude from the back of the device, meaning it can be positioned more easily than its predecessor. The main camera also has a large 108-megapixel sensor, and Samsung has done some work on the software side to make night photos sharper. Night mode can now be added to videos and photos.

Surprisingly, the 6.8-inch AMOLED 2 display has a lower resolution than its predecessor, which means it has fewer pixels per inch. It supports HDR 10+ while the S21 Ultra only supports HDR 10.

The most expensive version of the phone has a RAM limit of 12 GB, which is less than its last generation, which increased to 16 GB. In terms of storage, however, this new phone comes in at 1 terabyte, almost twice as much as the S21.

iPhone 14

At first glance, it may be difficult to distinguish between the new iPhone flagship and its predecessor, the iPhone 13.

The main features remain the same, the most prominent being the 6.1″ screen. It also offers the same 4GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and has an A15 Bionic chipset.

However, there are small changes that may be most noticeable to photography enthusiasts, such as lens aperture and lens flare. The phone costs £849 – £230 cheaper than its predecessor at launch. It is also easy to find accessories for this phone at your nearest shops for mobile phone accessories wholesale in UK.

Galaxy S22+ 5G

The latest iteration of the middle child of Samsung's flagship family, the Galaxy S22+ has received a few upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy S21+. While the latter is covered in plastic, the new device has Gorilla Glass Victus + on the back, making the device more durable without sacrificing much in durability.

For some reason, Samsung saw fit to remove 0.1″ from the phone for the latest iteration, making it a little thinner, which can be a plus if you have small hands. The bezels have been reduced slightly, however, leaving more room for the new AMOLED 2X display, which Samsung is marketing as the best display ever. That said, it has fewer pixels per inch than the original Galaxy S22 because it has the same resolution, albeit with a larger display. In terms of photography, it's not quite the S22 Ultra's 108MP quad-lens main camera setup, but its 50MP main lens still has a higher resolution than Apple's equivalent. The front selfie camera is also lower resolution than its bigger sibling, at 10MP instead of 40MP. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM as well as a choice of 128GB or 256GB storage.

OnePlus 9 Pro

OnePlus has established a reputation for delivering high-end smartphones that are more affordable than the competition, and the OnePlus 9 Pro continues that tradition. Although it's £170 cheaper than the next closest comparable phone on this list, it still offers you a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that produces 3216 x 1440 pixels (525 pixels per inch) and offers a refresh rate of 120Hz - so far. The processing speed and battery capacity are also among the best of its peers at 2.82 GHz and 4,500 mAh.

For photography, the phone has a 48MP main camera, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. There is also, unusually, a 2MP monochrome camera. The front camera takes selfies at 16MP. All lenses are manufactured by Sony.

The phone runs a modified version of Android 11 called OxygenOS that allows for more customization than an Android phone. OnePlus 9 Pro doesn't have the biggest battery on the market, but the manufacturer's Warp Charging technology is returning, which means you can charge the battery from flat to full in just 28 minutes using the included plug and cable.

The phone is smaller and heavier than its closest competitor, but its camera lens - developed in collaboration with Swedish camera maker Hasselblad - does not protrude from the back of the phone. All that being said, the trade-offs you'll have to make to get it cheaper are few. The camera performance of this phone can surely leave you amazed. Its replacement parts and accessories are readily available at shops for mobile phone accessories wholesale in London.
